Teachers as Heroes
Presented by Tom Warren, D.C.
(39 minutes)

In 1992, Dr. Tom Warren headed the only team ever to traverse the entire Lewis & Clark Trail since Lewis & Clark first made their way across America to the Pacific Ocean.  Dr. Warren shares the defining moment in his life when a teacher helped him understand the power of learning and the need for dreams -- a moment which changed his life.  Dr. Warren relates his experiences in preparing for and executing the trip, discusses lessons in goal achievement learned in preparation and along the trail, and narrates some of the highlights of the trip including comparison of Lewis’ journal with Dr. Warren’s findings during the expedition.  Dr. Warren shares his unique account of America’s environmental history to enthusiastic audiences nationwide.  Both teachers and students will be stimulated by this motivational, inspirational, and informative session.
